However, they are pulling away from the cover in a number of places. Pages do have tanning and their is some foxing mainly to the title pages. There is evidence to suggest that the book is likely to have suffered water damage a some point in it's history. There is some staining on the inside covers (back and front). There is a pen inscription on the inside front cover. Book cover demonstrates the title and illustration, as does the spine. However, there is crushing to the top and bottom of the spine, board edges and corners. There is also fading and staining likely caused by the above-mentioned water damage.
This book remains beautiful despite it's faults, it is perfectly readable and would be a fabulous and historic addition to any collection.
